Why People Don’t Achieve Their Goals

I’ve spent a lot of time wondering why people don’t reach their goals - and how I can help them change that.

Even when they get clear on what they really want, write it down, break their goals into small action steps and take action -often they don’t achieve most of their goals.

I think I’ve figured out one reason why.  It’s because they spent time identifying the FEATURES of their goals - but not the BENEFITS.

Here’s an example. . .

When you’re thinking about buying something, what are you thinking about that product?  The features?  Hardly.  You’re interested in the benefits - what’s it going to do for me?

The same happens to you when you set up your goals. You won’t be fully committed to your goals if you’re not clear on the benefits you’ll get when you reach them.

It makes it difficult to stay motivated and enthusiastic.

The “why” is as important as the “what” when you’re considering any goal.  When you are clear on what’s in it for you, the price is always right.

So instead of deciding “I want to have a successful business,” - ask yourself why you want a successful business.  Identify the benefits to YOU.

Knowing the “why” creates the necessary momentum to keep on track until your goal is reached. Create a 3D mindset.  The only difference between those who make it and those who don’t is desire, direction, and determination.  Knowing the benefits will make all the difference.
