Understanding the Time Challenge

Probably most of us realize by now that time management is more than just an attempt to manage time - it is really managing ourselves in relationship to time.
The key is setting meaningful priorities and taking charge of how you use time. It may involve changing habits or activities that cause us to waste time. Mostly you have to experiment with different methods and ideas to enable you to find the best way to make maximum use of time.
- ESSENTIALLY EVERYTHING WE DO REQUIRES TIME.
- SOME EVENTS OR ACTIVITIES ARE EXTERNALLY CONTROLLED: (meetings, family obligations, work)
- OTHER ACTIVITIES ARE INTERNALLY CONTROLLED: (chatting on the phone, commitment to a club or project, or hanging out)
I think 3 really important keys to making the most of your time are:
- Setting goals that can be realistically accomplished
- Establishing meaningful priorities
- Taking responsibility for your effective use (or abuse) of the resource we call time.
Think about these keys when you are time challenged to keep you on the path to getting the right things done.
