When you sit at your workspace or desktop, all surfaces in 180 degrees around you should be clear of everything except:

  • Your tools:   (phone, computer, pen, etc.)
  • Limited decoration (a very few photos, plant or positive association pieces)
  • The project you are currently working on

Establish a workflow management system behind you.

  • The inbox:  all incoming information goes there –not on your desk
  • Outbox: for anything leaving the office area
  • Create a “To Read” tray/bin/box next to inbox for all reading materials
  • A container for managing individual project folders
  • A To File tray or box

I wanted to thank you for being the inspiration in my life, to help me realize I could make a change. I would not have had the idea to work from home if I hadn't coached with you!
