Soggy in Seattle

The winter monsoons have hit Seattle. December is just one long month of precipitation. The temperatures drop and it’s snow one minute, then they rise and the next it’s wind and heavy rains.

Last week I moved a young professional woman into a one bedroom apartment from a house she was sharing with several other people. It was a pretty straightforward move and we guestimated it would only take a couple of hours door to door.

The weather held off until about a half an hour before we were set to go - and then the heavens opened up and it poured! Luckily the weather only added another hour to the move time, but we ended up offloading in the dark at her new place (there were NO outside lights at the apartment building) and slipping and sliding down concrete steps where the water from a clogged drainspout poured down on us like a waterfall!

This time of year there’s no dodging the raindrops. I’m hoping everybody stays put until spring. ;)

I wanted to thank you for being the inspiration in my life, to help me realize I could make a change. I would not have had the idea to work from home if I hadn't coached with you!
