Instant Success

Have you heard the saying, “How you spend your time is how you spend your life?” When it applies to goal setting or getting the right priorities accomplished, the concept of “instant success” can help you decide how best to spend your time and your life!
Instant success means being successful right now - at this moment. Twenty minutes ago or 2 hours from now doesn’t matter - what does matter is what you’re doing right now. If you’re fully engaged in doing something you value (that enhances or advances you), then you’re enjoying instant success.
For example: You may sit down to tackle that administrative paperwork you loathe doing, but that is involved in your business venture that you ARE excited about. Maybe it means spending quality time with your family even though you have work that needs to be done.
Managing your time effectively doesn’t necessarily mean you have to be constantly working or tackling obstacles. It means doing the activities that are important to you for achieving what you really want in life.
Think “enhance” or “advance”. Ask yourself whether what you are doing is enhancing your life in a meaningful way or advancing your situation in a way that you value.
Obviously, it’s easier to practice instant success when you’re doing something you like. It takes discipline and determination to be consistently successful at more disagreeable tasks.
Take some time each day to decide an activity that will bring you that instant success feeling and do it!
